Carnival Cruise Ship Stranded & Towed To Shore

Cruise ships don’t have much luck these days. Instead of being a relaxing vacation, going aboard is more of a headache and even possibly life threatening. Take the Carnival Triumph cruise line, which was stranded for days after a fire took out the ship’s propulsion system on Sunday.

The ship was unable to sail and was without power, sewage, heating and air-conditioning systems. This turned what was supposed to be a 4 day trip to the Caribbean an absolute nightmare with 3,142 passengers and 1,086 crew members on board. The cruise liner was floating in the Gulf of Mexico about 150 miles off the coast of the Yucatán Peninsula until tug boats were able to reach it.

What kind of refund will the passengers receive? A full trip refund and $500 for the distress caused. We’re certain they didn’t want a free cruise trip.
