Del Monte Foods just gave bubble tea lovers another reason to sip JOYfully.
All nine JOYBA® Bubble Tea flavors have officially earned Upcycled Certified® status—meaning they’re helping cut food waste by putting unused sweetened syrup to good use. In fact, the company rescued 265 tons of syrup last year alone.
This isn’t Del Monte’s first foray into upcycling. Back in 2021, their Blue Lake® Green Beans became the first canned veggies in the industry to get Upcycled Certified® status. Now, they’re expanding the mission—from beans to boba.
With more than $1 trillion worth of food wasted globally each year, Del Monte is doing its part. In fiscal 2024, they kept over 3 million pounds of food out of landfills by upcycling across their supply chain.
From beans to broth, Del Monte’s family of brands—including Contadina®, College Inn®, Kitchen Basics®, Take Root Organics®, and JOYBA®—keeps finding ways to make tasty, responsibly sourced food that’s good for people and the planet.
