Paws for Progress: $95K Boosts Lifesaving Dog Research

The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) and Purina® are teaming up once again to fund groundbreaking research that helps dogs live longer, healthier lives. Through the Purina Parent Club Partnership (PPCP) Program, $95,573 has been invested into innovative canine health studies.

It’s part of a powerful partnership that’s funneled over $9 million into research, rescue, and education since 2002.

Here’s how it works: Purina® Pro Club® members earn points by buying qualifying pet food. Those points help fund health research for their favorite breeds—turning kibble into cures. Each year, Purina’s donation is split between the member’s breed club and a health research fund at CHF.

“This program proves what we can do when passionate dog lovers and science come together,” said Scott Smith, Managing Director at Purina and CHF Board Member.

CHF CEO Dr. Stephanie Montgomery adds, “Thanks to Purina’s ongoing support, breed clubs and dog owners play a direct role in shaping the future of canine health.”

From research grants to conferences and even commemorative bricks at Purina Farms, this collaboration is all about one thing: helping our best friends live their best lives.
