Adopt A Puppy Named Kevin On National Kevin Day

Tomorrow, in honor of National Kevin Day (aka National Hug-a-Kevin Day – Yes, it’s a real thing.), Helen Woodward Animal Center is inviting potential adopters to snuggle with over 30 available puppies… all named Kevin!

Ever wanted to cuddle up to Kevin Costner?  Share some laughs with Kevin Hart?  Play ball with Kevin Love?  Or get footloose with Kevin Bacon?   Ever wish you could do it forever?   The public is invited to meet their very favorite Kevins this Wednesday, October 3rd and through the weekend until all Kevins have been hugged and adopted.  BONUS:  Those who adopt will receive a Kevin-themed gift!

While the country is gearing up to celebrate their most beloved Kevins, Helen Woodward Animal Center is celebrating one of the most puppy-inundated months since moving into the transitional adoption space.  With the Center’s adoption building still under construction, Center staff has had to work out of a much smaller transitional adoption area with far fewer kennels.  But that doesn’t mean the need for forever homes has lightened up one bit.  In fact, in addition to the many adult dogs and cats waiting to find their new families, the Center currently has 35 available puppies, with another 20 puppies waiting in foster to come available as soon as space opens up.

“We’ve run out of kennels for all of the incredibly huggable orphan pups we have,” stated Helen Woodward Animal Center Customer Service Manager Dora Dahlke.  “We thought that if we invited the public to hug them on National Hug-a-Kevin Day, our Kevins would definitely find their forever families and open up kennels to more waiting pups.”

Those who adopt a Kevin will have an opportunity to get a photo with their own new favorite Kevin in front of the “Famous Faces of Kevin Wall.”  Additionally, each adopter will receive two Ultra Star Hazard Center passes to see Kevin Hart’s new movie “Night School.”

To adopt one of our Kevins, please contact Helen Woodward Animal Center Adoption Department at: 858-756-4117 ext. 313, visit www.animalcenter.org or stop by at 6523 Helen Woodward Way, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067.
