LA Lakers Unveil New Purple Uniform

The Los Angeles Lakers revealed their new Statement Edition uniform today on the team’s social channels. The new bold and traditional uniform, which is presented by Lakers global sponsor bibigo, will debut on court during the Lakers 2025-26 season.

The purple Statement Edition uniform now features gold and white accents with the Lakers’ primary wordmark in crisp white across the chest with gold trim and a drop shadow detail in gold behind player numbers in white.

The side panels of the refreshed design showcase the most notable update, removing the black accent panel from previous seasons, allowing the team’s signature purple and gold to stand alone vibrantly. Down the side of the uniform, “Los Angeles Lakers” embellishes the emboss tape next to gold trim.

The team’s iconic primary logo makes a statement centered at the top of the shorts. In addition, the team’s “LA” mark is featured on both sides of the shorts for the first time on a core uniform.  “Leave a Legacy” is placed above the jock tag and the “17” at the back of the neck honors the franchise’s championships.

The new Statement Edition uniform replaces the previous design released ahead of the 2022-23 season. Other uniforms the Los Angeles Lakers will wear on court this season include the Icon Edition in Gold, Association Edition in White and the annual City Edition. The Statement Edition jersey will be available for purchase in store and online starting Oct. 15.

Global Korean food brand bibigo is the Lakers official jersey patch sponsor.
