Great White Shark ‘Katharine’ Spotted Off Florida Coast

Dozens of sharks were tagged and tracked by OCEARCH, a collective of marine biologist who follow sharks and reports their findings to other scientists and the public.

This week, they located one of the tagged great white sharks. A female named Katharine, this massive 14-ft. shark weighs 2,300 pounds.

Back in May of 2014, Katharine swam into the Gulf of Mexico. On Sunday she was spotted swimming between West Palm Beach and the Bahamas, according to reports.
