Donald Trump got his 45 delegates, sweeping the Indiana primary… and with that, even more good news for the leading GOP candidate in the Presidential Race: Ted Cruz is out.
Shortly after Trump's win, Cruz announced that he is stepping out of the race.
"We gave it everything we've got, but the voters chose another path," Cruz said to supporters.
Trump's twitter response to Cruz dropping out:
Lyin' Ted Cruz consistently said that he will, and must, win Indiana. If he doesn't he should drop out of the race-stop wasting time & money
On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders saw victory with 53.2% over Hillary Clinton's 46.8%.
