Natalie Maines is back singing and she stands solo this time around; a part from the Dixie Chicks. After a successful 30 million records sold, it was one incident that changed Maines’ reputation in the music world. In 2003, just before the Iraq War, the singer said that she and her bandmates were ashamed to be from the same state as then-President George W. Bush. Just like that, they were blacklisted. But Maines is back after taking time off from recording. This month she debuts her solo album, Mother.
