The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is turning Los Angeles into one giant celebration zone, with official fan festivals, neighborhood watch parties, cultural events, and match-day experiences happening across the region.
Chances are, most won’t be attending the game in person. Tickets on StubHub are going for $6,000+ with nose bleed tickets at $1,000. If you’re not going in-person, here are some other ways to watch and celebrate
If you can afford it… Attend a Match at SoFi Stadium
When: June 12 – July 19, 2026
Los Angeles will host eight World Cup matches at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, including the opening match for the U.S. Men’s National Team. Fans from around the world are expected to gather in the area throughout the tournament, creating a festival atmosphere both inside and outside the stadium.
Watch Matches at “Kick it in the Park” Community Events
When: Throughout the tournament
One of the largest public viewing programs in the country, the City of Los Angeles is hosting more than 100 free “Kick it in the Park” events across neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles. Large LED screens will broadcast matches live, and many locations will offer soccer clinics and family activities.
Mayor Karen Bass said, “We are making sure fans can enjoy the World Cup inside and outside the stadium with more than 100 free Kick it in the Park community events during the full tournament. Our championship city is ready to say, Go Team USA!, and to make sure every Angeleno can enjoy this global sporting event.”
Popular locations include parks, recreation centers, Union Station, the Central Library, Venice Beach and additional community gathering spaces across the city.
Bring: Folding chairs or blankets, water, snacks and sunscreen.
Do not bring: Alcohol or drones.
Experience the FIFA Fan Festival at the LA Memorial Coliseum
When: June 11–14, 2026
The historic LA Memorial Coliseum will host the official FIFA Fan Festival, featuring giant screens showing matches, live entertainment, food vendors, cultural programming, interactive fan experiences and activities celebrating the global game.
This is expected to be one of the largest World Cup gatherings in Southern California.

Several official fan zones will operate across Los Angeles County, offering live match broadcasts, entertainment, food and community celebrations.
Fan zone locations include:
- Union Station
- Venice Beach
- West Harbor
- Fairplex

These locations provide an opportunity to experience the tournament atmosphere without traveling to the stadium.
Explore Soccer Celebrations at Venice Beach

One of Los Angeles’ most iconic destinations, Venice Beach is expected to become a gathering spot for international fans. Visitors can enjoy the beach, boardwalk entertainment, street performers, restaurants and World Cup viewing opportunities while soaking up Southern California’s famous coastal atmosphere.
Spend a Day at Union Station
When: Throughout the tournament
Union Station will serve as both a transportation hub and a fan gathering destination. Visitors can watch matches, enjoy special programming and take advantage of easy Metro connections to World Cup events throughout the region.
Take Metro to Match Day Events
When: Match days
Metro and regional transit partners will operate direct service to World Cup matches and fan events.
Service begins: Three to four hours before kickoff.
Return service: Up to two hours after matches.
Fare: $1.75 each way.
Using public transportation is expected to be the easiest way to reach stadium and fan event locations during the tournament.
Support Local Businesses and Restaurants
Many restaurants, bars and businesses throughout Los Angeles are expected to create World Cup-themed experiences, special menus and viewing events. Businesses are encouraged to extend hours, host international-themed celebrations, feature local artists and offer promotions for fans wearing team colors.
Neighborhoods such as Downtown Los Angeles, Koreatown, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Pasadena and Long Beach are expected to be particularly lively during major matches.
