The Phoenix Suns ran away with a 129-109 win to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks. What started out as a back-and-forth game with the Mavericks holding a two-point lead heading into halftime, quickly got out of hand in the fourth quarter as Chris Paul took over and put the game away for Phoenix. Paul finished the game with 28 points, eight assists and six rebounds, while Devin Booker added 30 points. Luka Docic had a game high 35 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Reggie Bullock added 16 points.  The series moves to Dallas, where Game 3 will take place on Friday.

The Miami Heat took a 2-0 series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers after closing out Game 2 iwith a 119-103 win. It was Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo who led the way with 45 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists combined. The 76ers were led by James Harden and Tyrese Maxey but, in the end, their combined 54 points, 10 assists and seven assists were not enough to keep the Heat from going up 2 games to none, with the series now going to Philadelphia where the 76ers hope to get into the series with a home court win. With Joel Embiid’s status for the rest of the series still up in the air, the others have to find a way to step up. Game 3 is Friday night.
