TCAs 2016: HBO Premieres ‘VINYL’ February, ‘Game Of Throne’s Returns April

HBO TCAs 2016, Vinyl, Game of Thrones premiere datesThe HBO drama, VINYL, kicks off its ten-episode season SUNDAY, FEB. 14 (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) with a pilot directed by Scorsese, from a story by Rich Cohen & Mick Jagger & Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter, and teleplay by Terence Winter and George Mastras, followed by hour-long episodes debuting subsequent Sundays at the same time.

From Academy Award® winner and Emmy® winner Martin Scorsese (“The Departed,” HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”), Golden Globe winner and Emmy® nominee Mick Jagger (HBO’s “Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown”) and Academy Award® nominee and multiple Emmy® winner Terence Winter (“The Wolf of Wall Street”; HBO’s “The Sopranos” and “Boardwalk Empire”), VINYL is a ride through the sex- and drug-addled music business of 1970s New York at the dawn of punk, disco and hip-hop.

GAME OF THRONES begins its ten-episode sixth season SUNDAY, APRIL 24 (9:00-10:00 p.m.). Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, this hit Emmy®-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. The ensemble cast for the fifth season included Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner. Executive producers, David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger, Bernadette Caulfield; co-executive producers, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis, George R.R. Martin.

SILICON VALLEY returns for its ten-episode third season SUNDAY, APRIL 24 (10:00-10:30 p.m.). The Emmy®-winning and Golden Globe-nominated series takes a comic look at the modern-day epicenter of the high-tech gold rush, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. A collaboration between Mike Judge and Alec Berg, the series stars Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer and Jimmy O. Yang. Mike Judge, Alec Berg, Michael Rotenberg and Tom Lassally executive produce. The series was created by Mike Judge & John Altschuler & Dave Krinsky.

VEEP launches its ten-episode fifth season SUNDAY, APRIL 24 (10:30-11:00 p.m.). This Emmy®-nominated series stars Emmy® winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus as former Vice President Selina Meyer, who became president after her predecessor stepped down. The cast also includes Emmy® winner Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy C. Simons, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Sam Richardson and Hugh Laurie. Dave Mandel, Frank Rich, Chris Godsick, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Lew Morton executive produce.
