According to Rentrak, Warner Bros.’ “Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” hits another major box office milestone as it crosses the $500 million mark internationally, thus pushing its global tally to a whopping $723 million. Also, Universal’s Seventh Son and 20th Century Fox’s Taken 3 opened overseas to $18.6 million and $9.5 million, respectively.
