THE CONCERT FOR VALOR, a first-of-its kind concert on Veterans Day to honor the courage and sacrifice of American’s veterans and their families, will be delivered to a broad audience via multiple distribution channels.

The concert will feature a broad array of talent from the worlds of music and entertainment, including Jack Black, The Black Keys, Bryan Cranston, Eminem, Jamie Foxx, Dave Grohl, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J., George Lopez, Metallica, John Oliver, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood, Bob Woodruff and Zac Brown Band, as well as special appearances by Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon among many others.

The Nov. 11 event, hosted by HBO, Starbucks and Chase, to be presented live from the National Mall in Washington, D.C. at 7:00 pm, ET / 4:00 pm, PT, will be available to online audiences nationwide via a live stream with social media partner Twitter and powered by Ustream at TheConcertForValor.com and via @HBO or @TwitterTV on Twitter.

“Twitter is dedicated to helping people connect with the things that matter most to them, so we’re thrilled that we can help bring Veterans, those in active duty and their families, closer to the Concert for Valor. No matter where you are in the world, you’ll be able to experience the concert as its happening and join the conversation on Twitter,” said Andrew Adashek, Head of TV at Twitter.

Ustream, the largest live video platform, will allow viewers around the world to share in the Concert for Valor excitement through its social integration with Twitter. The event also holds significant importance for Ustream CEO Brad Hunstable, a West Point graduate who served for the U.S. Marine Corps.

“As a veteran, I take great pride in supporting this holiday with so many great musical artists and offering a live concert experience for fans around the world,” said Hunstable. “We started Ustream based on my experiences in the military as a way for soldiers to share important moments with friends and family, so it’s nice to see that idea come full circle and support our troops in the process.”

An audio feed of the concert will also be simulcast live on nearly 70 iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on a customized “Concert for Valor” digital station on iHeartRadio, iHeartMedia’s digital radio service.

In addition, the American Forces Network will deliver the concert to American servicemen and women, the Department of Defense and other US government civilians and their families stationed abroad via their worldwide radio and television broadcast networks.

HBO and Twitter will provide live social coverage from the concert via #TheConcertForValor, including content published using SnappyTV and housed at TheConcertForValor.com. Viewers can experience behind-the-scenes action by following Tweets from a Twitter Mirror which will be stationed backstage.

THE CONCERT FOR VALOR will provide a national stage for ensuring that veterans and their families know that their fellow Americans’ gratitude is genuine. Millions of people, including veterans, active duty service members, their families and Americans from all walks of life are expected to watch the free concert in person, on television, and now online as well, with the goal of raising awareness for veterans service organizations dedicated to education, wellness, reemployment and reintegration. The event will be presented from the National Mall between the Capitol and the Washington Monument, and HBO will offer its affiliates the opportunity to open the signal, allowing nonsubscribers to view the special.
