Amanda Kloots brought to tears at 8th Daytime Beauty Awards

The 8th Annual Daytime Beauty Awards (DBA), founded by Michele Elyzabeth, celebrated the best in science behind beauty, health and wellness on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 at the Grand Venue. The award ceremony luncheon recognizes excellence in medicine, health and fitness, aesthetics, skincare, color and styling, CBD and cannabis, beauty innovation, and more.

PASH co-founder and host of the Boyfriend Material podcast Harry Jowsey presented Outstanding Achievement in Fitness to Amanda Kloots, delivering a heartfelt tribute to a friend he credits with helping him through some of his darkest days. Harry spoke about Amanda’s belief in the healing power of movement and her ability to inspire others to become the best versions of themselves, calling her a “golden light.” Amanda followed with an emotional and uplifting acceptance speech, encouraging the audience to keep moving, take life by the reins and, above all, live for today.

Amanda Kloots is a two-time Emmy-nominated television host, New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, actress, producer, and wellness expert whose career is rooted in the transformative power of movement. A former Broadway dancer and Radio City Rockette, Amanda spent more than a decade on stage in productions including 42nd Street, Follies, Young Frankenstein and Bullets Over Broadway before turning her passion for fitness into a platform for inspiring others.

In 2016, she created AK! Rope and went on to build AK! Fitness, developing workouts including AK! Baby Bump and the AK! Two Minute Workout around her philosophy that movement should be joyful, accessible, and empowering. Today, she continues to expand her approach to wellness as founder of Proper Health, focused on convenient, nutrient-dense solutions that support everyday health.

Amanda’s story of strength took on profound new meaning following the loss of her husband, Broadway actor Nick Cordero, from COVID-19 complications in 2020. She shared their story in her New York Times bestselling memoir, Live Your Life, and continues to explore loss, healing, resilience, and human connection through her new Dear Media podcast, Good Grief with Amanda Kloots.

Widely recognized as a former co-host of CBS’s The Talk, Amanda has also competed on Dancing With the Stars and expanded her work across television, fitness, publishing, podcasting, and wellness. Through every chapter, she has demonstrated a simple but powerful philosophy: movement can change more than our bodies. It can help change how we feel, how we heal, and how we face what comes next. The Daytime Beauty Awards honors Amanda Kloots with Outstanding Achievement in Fitness, celebrating a woman who has made movement her passion, her profession, and ultimately, her strength.
