Pink has signed a new worldwide deal that will keep the pop superstar with RCA Records for years to come. The label, which released 2012’s “The Truth About Love,”announced the multi-album deal on Tuesday. “I am super-duper excited to continue onwards and upwards with RCA and my team there,” the singer born Alecia Moore said in a statement. “We work really well together and they care in a way that artists don’t get to see very often anymore. I look forward to whatever the future holds for us and am so beyond thrilled with how much they believe in me. Woo-hoo! Rock ‘n’ roll!” RCA executives share in her excitement, with CEO Peter Edge calling Pink a “one-of-a-kind artist,” and label president Tom Corson saying she’s “in a league of her own” and has “upped the ante on what it takes to remain on top of the global stage.”
Pink has tallied 25 Billboard Hot 100 hits dating back to her 2000 debut, including 14 top 10s, four of which have hit No. 1: “Lady Marmalade” (with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Mya; 2001), “So What” (2008), “Raise Your Glass” (2010) and “Just Give Me a Reason” (featuring Nate Ruess; 2013). On the Billboard 200, she boasts six top 10s, with her last album, “The Truth About Love,” becoming her first No. 1. She has sold 15.9 million albums in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The singer began her career with LaFace and Arista, both of which were folded into RCA.
