“Top Gun” Director Tony Scott Dies at 68

Yesterday, August 19th, 2012, director Tony Scott jumped to his death from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, California. Reports claim that this was a suicide. Scott, best known for the films “Top Gun” and “Beverly Hills Cop II” was 68 years-old. The British director was younger brother to fellow Hollywood director, Ridley Scott (“Gladiator,” “Black Hawk Down,” “Prometheus”). Scott’s final directorial project was “Unstoppable” in 2010. He produced several movies, which are slated for release in the next two years. His legacy will live on.
