One Direction Hiatus Doesn’t Keep Them From Releasing Music

One Direction’s Drag Me Down music video recently released

Despite the headlines about One Direction‘s (permanent) break, the group is still going strong, releasing music and performing.

Zayn Malik announced his exit from the popular boy band months ago, but according to People, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles are planning an extended hiatus, possibly in March.

Well, Niall finally confirmed via Twitter that they will not be breaking up on August 24th, Niall Horan @NiallOfficial

“Ok so Lots of rumours going round. We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year.”

Break or stay, the band is still set to release their fifth studio album this fall and they just released the music video for their current hit, “Drag Me Down.”

On their website, the remaining guys announced that they are excited to be headlining the Apple Music Festival in London on September 22nd. Time will tell if they stick together or go their separate ways.
