Netflix Renews ‘The Four Seasons’ For Third Season Following Global Success

Netflix has officially renewed its hit comedy series The Four Seasons for a third season. The announcement was made by Netflix Head of Scripted Series for U.S. and Canada, Jinny Howe, during a fireside chat at the BANFF World Media Festival.

The renewal comes after continued success for the series, which first debuted on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV list in May 2025. According to Netflix, The Four Seasons generated 24.4 million views in its first two weeks. Following the release of Season 2 on May 28, 2026, the series reached the Top 10 in 56 countries and has remained on Netflix’s Global Top 10 chart, while also driving renewed interest in the first season.

Created by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, the comedy follows a close-knit group of longtime friends whose annual vacations reveal the complexities, humor and challenges of enduring relationships.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring a third season of The Four Seasons to life,” said co-creators and co-showrunners Tina Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield in a joint statement. “Thank you to everyone who watched. Middle-aged people, LFG!”

Netflix Vice President of U.S. Comedy Tracey Pakosta praised the series’ continued popularity and creative team.

“It’s been a joy watching the chaotic, beautiful journey of these lifelong friends,” Pakosta said. “Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield have a magical way of blending heart and sharp humor, making us feel like part of the inner circle. Audiences have fallen in love with these characters and this legendary cast’s electric chemistry. We’re thrilled to keep the vacation going for Season 3.”

Season 2 picks up after a difficult year for the group as they continue their tradition of traveling together, this time with a baby in tow. The story follows Kate (Tina Fey), Jack (Will Forte), Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), Danny (Colman Domingo), Claude (Marco Calvani) and Ginny (Erika Henningsen) as they journey from the Jersey Shore and upstate New York to Italy. As they navigate grief, personal growth and new adventures, the series continues to explore friendship, love and the realities of long-term relationships.

The ensemble cast includes Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani, Erika Henningsen and Colman Domingo. Season 2 guest stars include Steve Carell, Steven Pasquale, David Tennant, Toby Huss, Paula Pell, Janine Brito, Vernee Watson-Johnson, Alan Alda, Ashlyn Maddox, Azura Skye and Julia Lester.

Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, The Four Seasons is executive produced by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, Tracey Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond.
