Los Angeles voters went to the polls on June 2 to choose candidates for mayor in the city’s nonpartisan primary election.
As of the morning of June 3, incumbent mayor Karen Bass leads the field with approximately 34.8% of the vote. Spencer Pratt is in second place with about 30.4%, while Nithya Raman is third with roughly 22.3%. Additional ballots remain to be counted.
Current standings:
• Karen Bass — 34.8%
• Spencer Pratt — 30.4%
• Nithya Raman — 22.3%
• Other candidates — remaining votes combined
Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, the race will advance to a runoff election scheduled for November 3, 2026. The top two finishers will move on once vote counting is finalized. Current results indicate Bass has secured a runoff spot, while Pratt and Raman remain separated by several percentage points.
Election officials continue to process vote-by-mail and provisional ballots, meaning final certified results may differ from the current totals.
The remaining candidates collectively accounted for roughly 12.5% of the vote.
The field included candidates such as:
- Adam Miller
- Rae Huang
- Several additional lesser-known candidates who each received a small share of the vote.
