Is Chelsea Jordan on her way to becoming a hit maker like Olivia Dean?
I started listening to both of these singers around the same time. Similar soulful feel-good vibe. I’m here for all of Chelsea’s new music.
This week she released her latest single “picky choosy” via Arista Records – listen here. The infectious anthem celebrates knowing your worth and refusing to settle for less. Additionally, Chelsea has announced her new EP better late than not at all, will arrive on March 20, 2026. Pre-save here.
The song is accompanied by the official music video, directed by Hunter Lyon, which follows Chelsea through an ideal day at home centered on self-care and personal joy. Throughout the day she is repeatedly interrupted by a string of unwelcome male visitors vying for her attention and disrupting her peace. Finally, after a day full of unsolicited instructions, Chelsea reluctantly opens the door one final time to find her closest girlfriends waiting on her doorstep. The video closes on Chelsea and friends celebrating together, underscoring the track’s central message that there is power in choosing to prioritize the relationships that fill your cup. Watch here.
“‘picky choosy’ is about knowing your worth and protecting your energy from those who don’t deserve it. There’s value in saving the love some of us so easily give to others for ourselves, and I hope this song makes all the picky people, who love deeply but choose themselves first, feel seen.” – Chelsea Jordan
better late than not at all will include her breakout single “halfwaythru,” which has racked up over an impressive 6 million streams since its release last August. The 6-track EP will also include her major label debut “level out” released last November to celebrate her signing to Arista Records. Full tracklisting below.
Named a top emerging artist to watch in 2026 by Hypebae, the year is already off to a big start for Chelsea who made her NYC performance debut at Terminal 5 last week, as she joins Australian pop sensation Ruel across select dates of his North American tour. Chelsea has built a devoted following drawn to her warm aura, captivating voice and relatability. In just a couple years she has amassed over half a million followers across platforms and 651K monthly Spotify listeners. Chelsea has continued to shape a sound that blends soulful pop and R&B influences with modern honesty and style.
With her 2024 debut single, “THE GOOD PARTS,” Chelsea captured themes of growth, vulnerability, and finding confidence in imperfection — a reflection of her own story and the foundation of the music she’s shared since. In addition to releasing her BETTER WHEN I’M LONELY EP late last year, she’s forged authentic collaborations with brands like Adidas, who featured her in their “1000 Originals Stories” campaign celebrating individuality and creativity.
Before pursuing music full-time, Chelsea was a dedicated lacrosse player with a Division I commitment — a background that mirrors the focus and drive she now brings to her artistry. Grounded, inspired, and self-assured, Chelsea Jordan continues to shape her sound and presence as one of the emerging voices redefining what it means to be an artist in the digital age.
