If you have a furry family member, PawBoost is a need-to-know!
PawBoost is the platform known as the “Amber Alert” for lost pets and they have officially reunited over 2 million lost pets with their families.
Founded in 2014 after CEO Clayton Gladieux experienced the panic of losing a dog firsthand, PawBoost has grown into the largest and most trusted tool for lost pet recovery. And just last year alone, over 230,000 pets were reunited with their families through the power of PawBoost’s community and technology.
“If you’ve ever lost a pet, you know the feeling: terrifying, helpless, frantic. That’s why I created PawBoost,” says Gladieux. “This milestone belongs to our incredible community of neighbors, pet lovers, and our dedicated team who make this possible every day.”
Built by Community, Powered by Tech
PawBoost takes a community-first approach, connecting millions of users across social media, email alerts, and local databases. Over 7 million people across the U.S. are subscribed to receive PawBoost Alerts, helping them act fast when a pet goes missing nearby. Each month, these alerts reach over 50 million people through platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor.
PawBoost also runs the largest and most visited lost & found pet database in the world — sending out more than 600,000 email alerts daily and fueling over 20,000 pet reunions every month.

Every Reunion Tells a Story
From cats crossing city lines to parrots flying across rivers, every reunion is a testament to the strength of community and technology working together.
Chelsea the Cat had been missing for 26 days when a neighbor, who had unknowingly been feeding her, saw a PawBoost alert. Thanks to a photo and a little trust, Chelsea found her way home.
Sam the Bird, known for perching on shoulders, flew away during a moment of distraction. After weeks of searching and worry, he was spotted 7 miles away — and thanks to his PawBoost alert, he made it back to his flock.
What’s Next?
With a bold goal to reunite 5 million pets by 2032, PawBoost is expanding its impact by working directly with shelters. By integrating stray intakes into the PawBoost platform automatically and at no cost, shelters can increase visibility and boost Return-to-Home (RTH) rates.
Their five-year plan includes partnerships with the majority of high-intake shelters, ensuring that over 90% of shelter intakes are included in the PawBoost database.
Whether you’re a pet parent, a rescuer, or simply an animal lover, PawBoost invites everyone to join the movement.
