Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, delighting fans during the immersive Ebenezer’s Office activation before taking the stage in Hall H to introduce a brand new trailer for his upcoming film, Ebenezer.
The unexpected appearance gave attendees an early look at the highly anticipated reimagining of the classic Ebenezer Scrooge story. Directed by Ti West, the film stars Depp in the title role with the tagline, “The name you know, the story you don’t.”
The Hall H presentation offered fans an exclusive preview of the latest trailer, providing another glimpse into West’s fresh and mysterious take on the iconic character. Comic-Con visitors also had the opportunity to step inside the film’s themed Ebenezer’s Office activation, bringing the world of the movie to life ahead of its theatrical release.
Ebenezer features an all-star cast alongside Depp, including Rupert Grint, Andrea Riseborough, Sam Claflin, Daisy Ridley, Arthur Conti, Ellie Bamber, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Charlie Murphy, Tramell Tillman, and Ian McKellen.
Presented by Paramount Pictures in association with Domain Entertainment, Ebenezer is produced by Emma Watts, p.g.a., from a screenplay by Nathaniel Halpern and directed by Ti West.
Ebenezer opens only in theaters on November 13, 2026.
