Berger for Number 19 and Jonah Hill and Matt Dines for Strong Baby, will premiere on Sunday, June 1 (9:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.

The Mortician is a documentary series that investigates the practices of a family-run funeral home in Pasadena, California, which came under scrutiny in the 1980s following reports of unethical and illegal activity. Under the leadership of David Sconce, the Lamb Funeral Home was involved in various actions that raised serious ethical and legal concerns, including allegations of mass cremations and misappropriation of remains.

The series features a rare interview with Sconce following his release from prison, as well as accounts from the families affected, former employees, and industry experts. Through these perspectives, The Mortician explores broader issues within the multibillion-dollar mortuary industry, highlighting a case that led to increased regulation and oversight in Southern California.
