Big Bear Lake Maifest is giving folks the opportunity to purchase general admission tickets at 50% off to its kickoff event on Saturday, May 18. This presale offer is only available for purchase during a 48-hour window from Tuesday, April 16 at 2 p.m. to Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m. During this presale window ticket prices will be reduced to $8 for adults, $6 for seniors (62+), and $4 for kids (3 to 12 years of age). The discounted tickets (50% off) can be purchased online at bigbearevents.com.
“It’s a great way to kick off our May 18 kickoff event! This exclusive ticket offer is our way of saying thank you to our guests,” said Big Bear Lake Maifest Director Monica Marini.
The Annual Big Bear Lake Maifest is known as Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest’s little sister. It’s a scaled-down version of Oktoberfest, but provides the same ambiance of cheerful revelries. The annual Oktoberfest spinoff event kicks off May 18, and returns the following week for Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 for more festive good times. Note: The 48-hour presale special ticket offer is good for the May 18 date only.
Big Bear Lake Maifest delivers a springtime festival with plenty of refreshing springtime flavors in an Oktoberfest-like fashion. Topping the list is Maibock, a German-style brew that’s pale in color and more hop-centric than its fall/winter counterpart bock-style beers. Maibock, which is only available during springtime (mainly brewed for Maifest), has a distinguished lightly sweet, yet rich malty flavor. Plus, Big Bear Lake Maifest adds Oktoberfest favorites to the mix including sizzling bratwursts hot off the grill, homemade sauerkraut, fresh pretzels, apple strudel with warm vanilla sauce, a live German band, log-sawing contests, stein holding competitions, a balloon artist, kids’ activities, and of course the chicken dance.
Big Bear Lake Maifest is Saturday, May 18 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The following weekend (Memorial Day Weekend) is Saturday, May 25 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 26 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. It’s a rain or shine event. The 48-hour presale ticket offer is from Tuesday, April 16 at 2 p.m. to Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m., with general admission ticket prices cut in half to $8 for adults, $6 for seniors (62+), and $4 for kids (3 to 12 years of age). The discounted tickets are available for purchase online at bigbearevents.com.
*** Tickets for all three dates go on sale Friday, April 19 at regular ticket prices ($16 adults, $12 seniors, $8 kids). Big Bear Lake Maifest festivities take place at Big Bear Lake Convention Center; home to Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest, located at 42900 Big Bear Blvd. For general information or to purchase tickets online, log onto bigbearevents.com, or call 909-585-3000.
