What Is A Hurriquake?

hurriquake

On Sunday, Los Angeles weather had a party. Gone are the days when Angelenos could say “All we have are forest fires, mudslides and earthquakes. At least we don’t have hurricanes.” Hurricane Hilary turned tropical storm hit Southern California.

Governor Gavin Newsom issued a State of Emergency, urging residents from San Diego to the greater Los Angeles area to stay inside.

In the midst of the heavy rainfall, SoCal California residents received an Earthquake alert. A 5.1 quake hit Ojai area with aftershocks in the surrounding regions.

And so: HURRIQUAKE was born. A time at which a hurricane and an earthquake take place at the same moment.
