Celebrity hairstylist and Hollywood Beauty Awards hairstyling winner (produced by LATF USA), Larry Sims is sharing his skills.
He teamed up with Black Beauty Roster (BBR) to host a free “Trained in Texture” virtual class for members on the intricacies and do’s and don’ts of all things textured hair.
BBR is amplifying skilled BIPOC beauty professionals in Fashion, Entertainment and Film.
BBR co-founders Simone Tetteh and Maude Okrah view the lack of education as a root cause and critical component in bringing much needed change to the industry by training MUAs and hairstylists in a diverse range of BIPOC hair textures and skin tones.
Sims clients include Janet Jackson, Gabrielle Union, Kerry Washington and more.
As the industry continues to evolve and increase representation of more diverse talent, BBR aims to create opportunities, increase education to support the beauty professionals within the industry, and advocate for talented artists through allyship programs, workshops, staffing needs and more.
