Actor Paul Sorvino Dies At Age 83

Actor Paul Sorvino has died at the age of 83, according to his publicist Roger Neal.

His wife Dee Dee Sorvino said in a statement, “Our hearts are broken, there will never be another Paul Sorvino.”

Originally from Brooklyn, Sorvino was best known for portraying the mob boss in “Goodfellas” and for his work on “Law & Order.” He earned a Tony nomination for his role in “That Championship Season” and later reprised his role in the film adaptation.
Throughout his career, Sorvino appeared in “Nixon,” “Dick Tracy,” “Reds,” and “The Rocketeer.” More recently, he starred in “Godfather of Harlem” on Epix with Forrest Whitaker.
Sorvino was still working consistently.
The actor just completed “Pursued,” “The Ride” and was filming “The Jurassic Place” according to his IMDB profile.
Sorvino’s daughter, actress Mira Sorvino wrote on Twitter, “My heart is rent asunder- a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend.”
