New Music Friday: Alma Cook, Mooski, Jerry Cantrell, Child Seat, Blossoms, LESANE, Erica Campbell


Singer-songwriter Alma Cook’s oilfield anthem, “5000 Candles,” is the story of an unexpected love for people, place, and industry. The song’s playful and affectionate lyrics, humanizes the North Dakota oilfield and invites Americans into parts of the country that are typically unnoticed and unappreciated.

Platinum-selling recording artist Mooski returns today with a visual for “Counting Time” from his debut project “Melodic Therapy 4 the Broken,” on Capital Records. The Anthony Hamilton sampled “Counting Time,” finds Mooski reimagining Hamilton’s classic “Charlene.”


Iconic singer, songwriter, guitarist, and Alice In Chains co-founder Jerry Cantrell today releases the animated video for “Siren Song”, off of his most recent album “Brighten.” The animated video was directed and animated by Nate Merritt.


Child Seat releases ther new single “Fever Dream,” and are set to release their debut album in the Fall of 2022, with features from Jeff Schroeder of the Smashing Pumpkins and saxophonist Ron Dziubla.

Acclaimed British band Blossoms release their brand-new single “The Sulking Poet” and its accompanying video, directed by Edwin Burdis, Arctic Monkeys’ Creative Director, who worked on the band’s “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino” and “AM” albums.

Emerging artist LESANE releases visuals to the single “Love (Boo Thang).” This is the first single off the upcoming album “Genreless” set to release later this year. LESANE showcases his natural ear for melody on this track with sultry visuals to match.

Multi-award winning singer-songwriter, Erica Campbell, celebrates the lead single from her upcoming third studio album, to be released In September. The beautiful and uplifting song was written by Erica Campbell, Warryn Campbell and Juan Winans and produced by Warryn Campbell.
