Recipe: Herb & Seed’s Sweet Chocolate Chia Pudding

If your goal was to start the week off healthy, we've got a delicious CHOCOLATE CHIA PUDDING RECIPE from Herb & Seed to satisfy your sweet tooth without cheating on your diet. 

Herb & Seed is a new D2C plant-based service located in Southern California. Founded by Natalie Jaconetty, Herb and Seed is a flavor favor forward chef-inspired zero-waste organization providing delicious and healthy meals. 

What you need:

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup oat milk 
  • 1 cup raw cashews 
  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds 
  • 4 dates
  • 1tsp vanilla extract 
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder 

What to do: 

Add chia seeds to oat milk, stir well and set aside. Soak cashews and dates in water for 20 minutes. Add soaked cashews and dates, hemp seeds, vanilla extract, raw cacao powder, and 1 cup water to blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy (if needed add extra water 1/4 cup at a time until desired texture is reached). Stir the chia oat milk mixture once more until all seeds are absorbed evenly. Then, pore the chocolate pudding over the chia pudding and garnish with hemp seeds/extra cacao powder.

Each meal is designed with a purpose of providing key nutrients such as fiber, fats, carbs and protein and can be heated up in the microwave.

Users within Los Angeles County and select parts of Ventura and Orange Country can go online to order their selected meals each week. Deliveries are made each Monday based on the customer's specific requests and needs.
