TV Star Jerry Stiller Died of Natural Causes

Actor Jerry Stiller was best known as the funny Dad on "Seinfeld" and "The King of Queens." Stiller, the father of Ben Stiller, has passed away at the age of 92.

The actor and comedian's death was announced by Ben Stiller. 

"I'm sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes," Ben wrote on Twitter. "He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad."

In 1993, Stiller portrayed George Costanza's father Frank on the sitcom Seinfeld, a part which would earn Stiller an Emmy nomination. The same year Seinfeld went off the air, Stiller began his role as the eccentric Arthur Spooner on the CBS comedy series The King of Queens, another role which would garner Stiller widespread acclaim.

Stiller was the father of actor Ben Stiller, and the father and son would appear together in films such as ZoolanderHeavyweightsHot PursuitThe Heartbreak Kid, and Zoolander 2

His wife, Anne Meara died five years ago. The actress passed away in May 2015 at the age of 85. Meara had also starred on "The King of Queens," as well as "Sex and the City."
