New Music Friday: Christina Aguilera, Plain White T’s, Aly & AJ…

Today, global superstar Christina Aguilera releases her highly anticipated 6thstudio album Liberation. The album comes following the release of “Accelerate” feat. Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz, “Twice,” “Fall In Line” feat. Demi Lovato, and “Like I Do” feat. GoldLink.


GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum alt-pop band, Plain White T's, are excited to announce that they will be releasing their highly anticipated eighth studio album, Parallel Universe (produced by Matt Squire [Ariana Grande, Panic! At The Disco)] via Fearless Records on August 24th!


Vanessa Carlton unveils the fourth of six cover songs that she plans to release over the coming months with a cover of Karen Dalton's "Little Bit of Rain," which she premiered on Elle.com yesterday. The video, directed by Jesse DeFlorio and Seth Lliff, was inspired by this Barbra Streisand video for "One Less Bell to Answer."


Pop music duo Aly & AJ debut their new single "Good Love." The track is available today.

Youngblood, the new studio album from 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is out tomorrow, June 15th on Capitol Records.


 The Joy Formidable proudly announces that this September, they will join the Foo Fighters for a stretch of their North American tour. On September 1, the fated pair will embark on a tour of six cities throughout the West Coast and Canada, including Seattle, Washington; Edmonton, Alberta; Calgary, AB; Vancouver, British Columbia; Portland, Oregon; and San Jose, California. Last month, the notable Welsh alternative rock band released a video for the new single, “Dance of the Lotus” via Consequence of Sound to preview their sixth studio album.​


The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will host its 31st annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Los Angeles. ASCAP will honor Grammy Award- nominated hip-hop trio, Migos, with the ASCAP Vanguard Award. Members Quavo, Offset and Takeoff will attend the ceremony to accept the prestigious honor. The event will also honor ASCAP songwriter and publisher members with awards for the most performed ASCAP songs of the past year on the R&B, hip-hop, rap and gospel charts.


Critically acclaimed Awolnation’s February 6th appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live introduced a stripped-down version of the band’s Top 5 Alternative Radio hit “Handyman.” The version has grown in popularity, as has demand for its release.  In keeping with their fan’s desires, the band will release the acoustic version of the hit today, via all music download and streaming services.  The band also launches a contest today, to find the best fan versions of  "Handyman" at  http://awolnationmusic.com/handymancovers.
