In order to continue bringing such innovative products to consumers, Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S. continues to make significant multi-million dollar investments in its U.S. manufacturing operations. Mars has invested $1 billion in its domestic sites over the past 5 years and has created 1,000 new full-time jobs. Over 95 percent of its confectionery products for the U.S. are manufactured domestically. Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S. also continues to show its strong commitment to sustainability through such initiatives as the Mars' Sustainable in a Generation Plan and M&M'S Fans of Wind, through which Mars purchases enough wind power to cover the electricity needs of over 70,000 U.S. households—the equivalent of the energy needed to make all of the M&M'S in the world.
