There were no pastel blues or canary yellows lighting up the red carpet this year. As actors and actresses walked the 2018 Golden Globes pre-carpet in mostly all-black attire, the focus was less on fashion design and more on the subject of sexual harassment, which has plagued Hollywood for the past several months. Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Viola Davis and more vowed to wear black for the 'Time's Up' campaign and posed for photographers accompanied by renowned women activists.
"It's 2018—marijuana is finally allowed and sexual harassment finally isn't. It's going to be a good year," said Seth Meyers at the start of his opening monologue. The late night talk show host tackled the controversial subject throughout his monologue with jokes which spotlighted Kevin Spacey and the many men who have been accused of sexual harassment.
After a 'punch-line' game with the likes of Jessica Chastain and Amy Poehler, the show finally switched gears to reveal the winners of the 75th Golden Globes.
