On Friday morning, White House press secretary Sean Spicer resigned.
According to reports, Spicer disagreed with President Trump's appointment of New York financier Anthony Scaramucci as communications director.
The New York Times reported that Scaramucci was offered the position at 10 A.M. Friday morning.
Although, President Trump requested that Spicer remain in his position, he resigned shortly after.
Spicer tweeted from his official account: "It's been an honor & a privilege to serve @POTUS@realDonaldTrump & this amazing country. I will continue my service through August."
