The World Series is now tied between the Cleveland Indians and the Chicaco Cubs. Tied 3-3, they will play Game 7 at 5PM on Wednesday (Nov 2) on FOX at Progressive Field in Ohio.
According to the NY Times, both teams have waited a combined 176 years to win a World Series!
On Tuesday's Game 6, the Cubs beat the Indians 9-3, despite Aroldis Chapman's injury in the seventh inning.
In Game 5, the Cubs won 3-2 at Wrigley Field. Chapman, who is expected to play in Game 7, recorded the final eight outs to complete the longest save of his career … Jon Lester got the start and allowed just two runs in 6.0 frames while Kris Bryant’s solo homer in the fourth tied the game at 1‐1 and Addison Russell’s RBI infield single put the Cubs ahead for good.
This is the fifth time in Cubs history they have trailed a best‐of‐seven series. To capture the Series, the Cubs will need to have won the final two games against Cleveland, including tonight Progressive Field.
