GLSEN the national education organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for all students, in partnership with long-time supporter Julia Roberts, is calling on fans to celebrate her birthday on October 28 by donating $49 in honor of her 49th birthday.
Roberts initially made the request during her Visionary Award presentation to People and Entertainment Weekly Editorial Director Jess Cagle at the GLSEN Respect Awards.
Fans can log on at www.glsen.org/HappyBirthdayJulia to donate from now until November 1.
In addition, GLSEN will launch a Lunch with Julia Roberts lot – lunch in Los Angeles with Roberts for the winner and a guest – on Charitybuzz.com as part of the ongoing auction to support GLSEN's programs.
The auction will launch on her birthday and run until November 15. Those interested in bidding can do so at www.charitybuzz.com/glsen.
