American University is under attack in Afghanistan in western Kabul. According to reports, at least one student has been killed and over a dozen injured.
The LA Times reported that Associated Press photographer Massoud Hossaini said he was in a classroom with 15 students when he heard an explosion on the southern flank of the campus.
University President Mark English told the Associated Press that security forces are at the scene and added, “We are trying to assess the situation.”
The local hospital tweeted that at least five people were taken to Emergency Hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Officials told CNN that it is too early for them to comment. The attacks have not been claimed.
