Meow! On October 16th, 2015, Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats will host their fourth annual “National Feral Cat Day: Faces of Feral” art exhibit.
Kitty Bungalow is a nonprofit committed to often over-looked feral cats and this gallery event shines a light on their elusive and mysterious nature.
This free art reception will display “stray art” works from artists around the world, including Japanese “Cat Island” photographer Fubirai and celebrity animal photographer Susan Weingartner, as well as host live kitten cuddling, a Hint Mint Bar, and specialty cocktails such as “meowtinis” and the “fuzzy kitty”.
The event also boasts an amateur photography contest where you can enter online and the top five photos will be hung at the gallery. The winner will receive a prize package worth $500.
Kitty Bungalow will announce the details of their new feral cat initiative, unveiling their Trade Tech/Working Cat Program for 2016. While mixing and mingling with art aficionados and feline fanatics alike, you can learn how you can help end the cat overpopulation issue and the senseless killing of felines in the city shelters. This event lifts the veil off feral cats and invites you in to peek at their feline lives.
All sales will benefit Kitty Bungalow in their mission to assist the Los Angeles feral cats by providing free spay and neuter services throughout the city, medical needs to street cats and enrolling feral kittens into LA’s only 100% feral cat socialization facility.
Join us for a night of artistic charity, soft kitties, and feral fun at the Art District Downtown Photo collective: 2432 E 8th St. LA 90021 October 16th from 6-10pm!
