In the heat of the TCAs (Television Critics Association), FX has revealed some exciting news:
- “Sons of Anarchy” fans do not fear, the 10-episode first season of The Bastard Executioner from Kurt Sutter, the Creator/Showrunner of the hit FX series SOA, debuts on FX on September 15th with a two-hour premiere.
The Bastard Executioner is a blood-soaked, medieval epic that tells the story of Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones), a 14th century warrior, whose life is forever changed when a divine messenger beseeches him to lay down his sword and lead the life of another man: a journeyman executioner.
- The 13-episode fifth installment of the Emmy and Golden Globe winning franchise, American Horror Story: Hotel, premieres on FX on October 7th.
American Horror Story: Hotel features an all-star cast of Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock.
The Strain will return for a third season next summer, taking fans even deeper into the thriller from Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse, based off of the best-selling The Strain Trilogy by del Toro and Chuck Hogan, it was announced today by Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions. The second season of The Strain is currently airing on FX Sundays at 10 PM e/p.
