In June of 2008, Travis Alexander was found in his shower with his throat slit, shot in the head and stabbed thirty times. Alexander’s girlfriend at the time, Jodi Arias was an immediate suspect.
A camera found in Alexander’s washing machine showed footage that he and Arias had fought before the murder occurred.
In 2013, Arias was convicted of murder. According to reports, she was sentenced to natural life in prison with no possibility of parole after two juries could not reach an unanimous decision on whether to sentence her to death. In the end, the decision was left to Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens.
