The 7th annual SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVALis quickly approaching and today festival organizers announced artists performing on the MURS 316 Stage and additional artists playing the iconic Whisky A Go-Go and The Roxy as part of the two-day music festival on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21. SSMF features 70 bands over 2 days on 1 legendary strip!

The newly added MURS 316 Stage curated and hosted by MURS features headliners Bun B, Riff Raff, Dizzy Wright, DJ Quik and Killer Mike, plus many more.  The well-known MC held his first sold-out show at The Roxy in 2003 and celebrates The Strip by creating the first ever dedicated hip hop stage at SSMF.

The Roxy and Whisky A Go-Go will feature a variety of artists over the two-day festival from The Last International, Break Science and FMLYBAND at The Roxy to LA Guns, Unwritten Law, Onyx and Cattle Decapitation at Whisky A Go-Go, to name just a few. Bands will fill the venues each night as concertgoers make their way up and down The Strip on September 20 and 21.  SSMF ticketed attendees can watch the performances in the venues throughout the day and into the night and after the street fest closes until 2:00 a.m. Entrance is first-come, first-served.

The venue shows are in addition to the street festival, which features outdoor stages and includes Jane’s Addiction, Empire Of The Sun, Failure, Destructo, Cold War Kids, Kaiser Chiefs, Mayer Hawthorne, ††† (Crosses), Iration, Minus the Bear, The Birds of Satan, Big Data, Nightmare and the Cat, We Came as Romans, Beware of Darkness, Tove Lo, Big Freedia, Nostalghia, Fenech-Soler, and Say Say.

The festival kicks off on Friday, September 19 at the House of Blues Sunset Strip with Jane’s Addiction being honored with the “Elmer Valentine Award.” This award celebrates the music and icons that have made an impact on the legacy of The Strip.

The two-day street festival will include three outdoor stages, interactive experiences, food, beverage and much more, transforming The Sunset Strip into the ultimate concert destination.  Sunset Strip Music Festival Street Fest will take place on Sunset Blvd. between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard from 2:00 – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and 2:00 – 10 p.m. on Sunday.
