The last time North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un was seen in public was September 3rd, 2014. As USA Today reported, “Some speculate he may be ill or injured. There are also rumors – Jong Un’s younger sister has secretly been running the country.”
On Friday, the leader failed to appear at the Kamsusuan Palace of the Sun in Pyongyang on the 69th anniversary of the Workers’ Party of North Korea.
Lim Byeong-cheol, a spokesman for the south’s unification ministry said on Friday, “It seems that Kim Jong Un’s rule is in normal operation.”
When the 31 year-old Jong Un attended a concert over a month ago, he was seen walking with a limp. An official documentary from late September described him as dealing with “discomfort,” which led to international speculation that he may be ill.
Now the question is, where is Kim Jong Un? If he is healthy, why has he not stepped out in public?
