Coachella: Debbie Harry Takes The Stage With Arcade Fire

Coachella concerts have become known for their high number of musical cameos. Debbie Harry stunned Coachella crowds during opening weekend with a surprise appearance during Arcade Fire’s set.

The performance, which saw Debbie and Régine Chassagne duetting on Blondie’s 1979 hit “Heart of Glass”, was an epic close to the first weekend of Coachella. In classic Blondie spirit, Debbie called out to the audience “Cruise on, motherfuckers” before sticking around to lend her vocals to Arcade Fire’s “Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains).”

Said Debbie Harry, “It was amazing to be at Coachella and infinitely as exciting to be appearing with Arcade Fire.”

Stay tuned next week for a big Blondie announcement as the band continues to celebrate their 40th Anniversary Year.
