The Oscars Celebrate “The Wizard Of Oz”

The animated version for release May 9th

Tomorrow night, THE WIZARD OF OZ will be honored at the Oscars by Judy Garland’s three children Liza Minnelli, Lorna Luft and Joey Luft. It’s been 75 years since the Emerald City first made its debut on the silver screen and now with tomorrow night’s Academy Awards and the LEGENDS OF OZ trailer release, Dorothy returns to the yellow brick road.
LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN will bring a new generation to the universal story of friendship. Oz fans can enjoy their favorite characters while meeting new friends in an exciting twist to the classic story. With an all-star cast including Lea Michele, Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Bernadette Peters, Martin Short, Oliver Platt, Hugh Dancy and Megan Hilty.
In addition to planned Oz themed TV shows, successful films and Oscar tribute, Roger Stanton Baum’s (L. Frank Baum’s great-grandson) books are now the inspiration behind the new 3D-animated musical LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN set to release on May 9, 2014. See the trailer above.
