Sean Lennon’s The GOASTT Premieres Video For “Moth Of A Flame”

The GOASTT (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger) – a.k.a. Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl – have revealed the music video for “Moth To A Flame,” the very first taste of their upcoming album entitled Midnight Sun (out April 29th via Chimera Music). The incredible music video can be seen as a 9-minute short film with social commentary, punctuated by The GOASTT’s postmodern-psychedelic rock track. Additionally, The GOASTT have announced U.S. tour dates in support of “Midnight Sun,” during which the band will perform live as a five-piece– the new line-up debuted last Fall when The GOASTT toured with The Flaming Lips and Tame Impala

The GOASTT’s “Midnight Sun” is a guided tour of bold, shape-shifting sonic murals and evocative lyrical panoramas, during which the listener embarks on an auditory voyage of soaring whimsical keyboards and crunching space-age guitars that blends original melodies with kaleidoscopic freakouts. Plucking musical ingredients from all over the map, the album has a highly imaginative and distinct feel. It celebrates the unusual and the grandiose but fundamentally just rocks hard and feels good.
