Hal Douglas’ Famous Voice Was Heard Around The World

“In a world…,” the voice of Hal Douglas is known by all movie-goers. His deep and distinct voice introduced you to hundreds of films, from “Forrest Gump” to “Philadelphia” and “The Holiday.” Today we say goodbye to Douglas who passed away at the age of 89. 

He narrated movie trailers since the 1970s when he moved into voice-over work for commercials and film promos. Douglas retired in the late 2000s.

Douglas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruth, and two sons.
