Box Office: Comedy Makes Buck During Grammy Weekend

According to Rentrak, the worldwide box office stock for The Wolf of Wall Street continues to rise with $31 million in 26 international territories and approaching $200 million globally.  Notably, Despicable Me 2 closes in on the billion dollar mark and Frozen tops $800 million worldwide. Even with awards season and the Grammys on Sunday, some movies made buck at the box office this weekend.

Lone Survivor – Universal – $12.6M

The Nut Job – Open Road – $12.3M

Frozen – Disney – $9.0M

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit – Paramount – $8.8M

I, Frankenstein – Lionsgate – $8.3M

American Hustle – Sony – $7.1M

August: Osage County – The Weinstein Company – $5.0M

Wolf Of Wall Street – Paramount – $5.0M
