After all of the mess with the Obamacare website, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius must answer to the problems.
On Wednesday during Capitol Hill hearings, Sebelius apologized that healthcare.gov has been a “miserably frustrating experience for way too many Americans.” She also took the blame saying, “Hold me accountable for the debacle.” But while apologies sound nice, Sebelius and the Democratic party’s frustrations are not good enough for most Americans.
“We always knew that there was a possibility of things going wrong,” she continued – but stated that she never suggested a delay in the launch of the website.
After all of her frustration, it turns out that Sebelius will never have to go through the issues of revising or buying a new plan. Republican representatives are asking Sebelius to forgo her workplace insurance and join the exchange with the rest of America. She is certain that it is illegal for her to give up her current plan.
“I would gladly join it if I didn’t have affordable coverage in my workplace” she said. At the end of the day, Sebelius has know idea what the American people are going through in this healthcare hurricane.
