The nightmare in Egypt continues. Multiple sources have reported that as many as 60 people were killed after violence broke out during public demonstrations for ousted President Mohammed Morsi.
This “Day of Rage” was called in by Morsi’s Islamist Muslim Brotherhood movement in the aftermath of military actions that killed more than 600 people.
While there initially were conflicting reports about the total number of dead, official sources have now put the countrywide toll at just over 60 dead due to violent clashes in Cairo, Alexandria and other parts of the country.
Morsi’s Brotherhood called for a week of daily marches, so the violence does not appear to be ending very soon.
