Shooting In Santa Monica, CA Leaves Five Killed

Santa Monica ShootingAnother senseless shooting has taken innocent lives. Yesterday all local news channels showed scenes of ambulance, inconsolable crowds of people and countless police. Friday morning a gunman dress in black carried an assault rifle and walked across a street in Santa Monica randomly firing at people, cars and a public bus.

Sgt. Richard Lewis has confirmed the death count at five and five wounded. Soon after shooting, the gunman was shot and killed by police at the Santa Monica College Library. 

President Obama was attending a private fundraising lunch just about 10 miles away from where the shooting took place.

Today police continue to investigate the identification of the shooter who was described as a 25 to 30 year-old man.
